A digital experience as classic as the chicken itself.
Go Chicken Go has been serving Kansas City fresh fried chicken since 1968. Their loyal customers know the brand, but their website looked like it was built in 2010 and made online ordering hard. Their younger audience was finding them on social media but bouncing off the site.
I rebuilt the site on WordPress using a heavily customized Bridge theme with custom PHP modules. The result has bold typography, hero-scale product imagery, an integrated location-based menu, and a fast online-ordering flow. The brand’s heritage stays intact while the experience finally catches up.
The challenge:
A 1968 brand on a 2010 website.
Go Chicken Go’s previous site was slow, hard to navigate, and the menu was buried two levels deep. Online ordering required visitors to leave the site for a third-party portal, breaking the brand experience and dropping conversion.
The approach:
Customized Bridge theme with custom PHP and integrated ordering.
I customized the Bridge theme heavily with custom PHP modules, added hero-scale food photography, built a menu that loads instantly per location, and integrated an online-ordering flow that keeps customers on-brand from browse to checkout. Mobile experience is now indistinguishable from a native app.
